Notice of Election

TO THE DULY QUALIFIED RESIDENT ELECTORS OF TROPHY CLUB MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1 AND TO ALL OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS: Notice is hereby given that an election will be held in and for Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1(the “District”) between 7:00a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on May 6, 2017 at polling places designated by Denton and Tarrant Counties.



An election shall be held to authorize the Board of Directors of the District to issue its bonds up to the amounts and for the purposes set out in the following proposition and to provide for payment of any such bonds as set out in such proposition.



Shall the Board of Directors of Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1 be authorized to issue the Bonds of said District in one or more issues or series in the maximum aggregate original principal amount of $2,420,000 maturing serially or otherwise in such installments as are fixed by said board over a period or periods not exceeding forty (40) years from their date or dates, bearing interest at any rate or rates, and to sell said Bonds at any price or prices, provided that the net effective interest rate on any issue or series of said Bonds shall not exceed the maximum legal limit in effect at the time of issuance of each issue or series of Bonds, all as may be determined by the Board of Directors of said District, for the purpose or purposes of purchasing, constructing, acquiring, owning, operating, repairing, improving, or extending, or paying for inside and outside the District’s boundaries, any works, improvements, facilities, plants, equipment and appliances, needed for the District’s waterworks system, including, but not limited to, all additions to such system and all works, improvements, facilities, plants, equipment, appliances, interests in property, and contract rights, rights of use, and interests in property necessary, appropriate or incident thereto and administrative facilities needed in connection therewith, and to provide for the payment of principal of and interest on such Bonds by the levy and collection of a sufficient tax upon all taxable property within said District, all as authorized by the constitution and laws of the state of Texas.

Voter registration and information

Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1 is located in both Denton and Tarrant counties.  Voter registration cards are available in the District Office at the reception desk. We are located at 100 Municipal Drive in Trophy Club.  The cards must be mailed to the county election office at least 30 days before the election date.  Voters should contact the Elections Office in their county for:

  • Requesting a mail ballot
  • Assistance for voters with special needs

Required identification for voting in person

Following is a list of the acceptable forms of photo ID:

  • Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
  • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
  • Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
  • Texas license to carry a handgun ssued by DPS
  • United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
  • United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph
  • United States passport

With the exception of the U.S. citizenship certificate, the identification must be current or have expired no more than 4 years before being presented for voter qualification at the polling place
