Congratulations to Board Directors Jim Thomas, Neil Twomey and Bert Cooper who were sworn into office during the May 13 District Board Meeting. Directors Thomas and Twomey have been serving in Place 3 and Place 4 respectively after being appointed to fill unexpired terms. Bert Cooper, a recent retiree of the District, was welcomed to Place 5 as the newest Board Member. 

Cooper will be filling the big shoes left by retiring Director Doug Harper who has faithfully served the District since 2022. His positive spirit and dedication to the District have helped to shape the continued growth and success of our organization. Harper is well known and appreciated by employees of the District for his “atta boy” style emails. We sincerely thank him for his leadership and volunteer service.

The District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors. Directors are elected at large and serve four-year terms. The Board governs long-range strategy and priorities, including infrastructure investment, fiscal integrity, environmental sustainability, system resiliency and safety.
