Maps showing the Greenbriar Ct, Glendale Ct Water Line Replacement Project. Project Area: Greenbriar Ct, Glendale Ct
Updated 10/29/26

Estimated Timeline

Work on both streets will take place concurrently.

  • Greenbriar Ct: November 1-30
  • Glendale Ct: November 1-30

Scope of Work

This water line project will replace approximately 890 linear feet of the existing water lines with new high pressure polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe. PVC is not susceptible to alkaline or acid soil conditions and is flexible to accommodate minor movement in our Texas soil.

Schedule

  • Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Construction will begin in early November and is expected to be complete by the end of November
  • Dates may change due to widespread rain, freezing temperatures, equipment failures, material delays or other unforeseen circumstances.

What To Expect

Most of the work is in the right-of-way, which can reach 10-15 feet from the curb into the yard. The contractor will be using open trench installation to replace the water lines. Most driveway crossings, sidewalks and landscaping features will be bored underneath. Once the lines are installed, sod will be replanted and new fire hydrants will be set in place.

A temporary water line will be set up that will provide water to homes during construction. There will be minor interruptions to your water service when it is connected and disconnected. You will be notified in advance of the work. You can expect minor traffic impacts, rolling shoulder closures and occasional intersection closures.

When there is a planned water shut down for more than 30 minutes, we typically notify residents with a door hanger on the front door and an automated phone call. In emergencies, the quickest way to reach everyone is by automated phone call. In the event of an unplanned water shut off, we want to make sure you are adequately notified. Please reach out to make sure we have current contact information for your household. Please call 682-831-4600 or email info@tcmud.org to verify your information.
